FuelEU Maritime: Pre-read on EC FuelEU Guidance Document

It is INTERTANKO's assessment that the EC’s FuelEU guidance document is drawn from a wide range of expertise and can be considered as a source that we can trust in keeping up with best practice in compliance with the FuelEU Maritime Regulation (‘FuelEU’)
We therefore developed a 26-page long pre-read paper to make it easier for Members to absorb the 155-page long FuelEU guidance document.
The document aims to ensure that Members are provided with essential information about the FuelEU Maritime Regulation and their tanker operation is compliant with regulatory and associated compliance standards.
The pre-read paper also contains additional information on:
- the Union Database (Section 5, Biofuel UDB);
- FuelEU pooling (Annex 1); and
- recent developments on actual emission monitoring of methane slip (Annex 2).
For specific issues, Members are always advised to refer to the FuelEU guidance document, which provides more details and supporting materials.
